Abstract:
Wellington Island,one of islands of Magellan Chile Antarctic region of Chile, its geo-location is between 48°39'9"Sand 50°3'32"S, 74°22'51"Wand 75°27'25"W. It is located in the southwest of South America, southeastern edge of the Pacific Ocean. It is 1.92 km separated from Serrano Island in the north, 24.94 km separated from Canning Island in the south, and 1.33 km separated from Mornington Island in the west. The total area of the Wellington Island is 6321.62 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 5268.35 km based on the Lambert projection. The dataset is developed based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset based on Google Earth images (2015) and the relevant Chile maps. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, consists of 16 data files with data size of 9.17 MB (compressed to 2 files with 3.64 MB).
