Using the CTD (an oceanography instrument used to determine the conductivity, temperature, and depth of the ocean), the China Arctic Exploration teams collected the CTD data in 640 places in the Arctic area from 52。42'N~88。24'N,19。17'W~143。30'W in each year from 1999 to 2014. The expiration area covering Bering Sea, Chukchee Sea, Canada Basin, North European sea, and Arctic high latitude sea area. The CTD_data_Arctic_China_1999-2014 includes 7 items, they are pressure (db), depth (m), temperature (℃) and salinity (psu), density (kg/m3), sound velocity (m/s) and potential temperature (℃). The data process procedure for the data quality control includes the following steps: sea save, data conversion, data filter, align CTD, cell thermal mass, loop edit, bin average, derive, ASCII out and sea plot.
