Abstract:
Cuorendejia Lake, also known as Yelusu Lake, is an inland plateau salt lake and located in the upper reaches of the Qumar River, and in the Hoh Xil area of Qinghai Province. Its geo-location is between 35°9′30″N and 35°16′11″N, 91°55′9″E and 92°18′0″E. It is long from the east to the west and narrow from the north to the south. The area of the Cuorendejia Lake is 200.88 km² and the lake shoreline is 140.24 km in 2015. There are two islands in the lake, and the area of the larger island is 0.34 km² and its shoreline is 2.40 km long. The Cuorendejia Lake is steep in the south and gentle in the north, due to the basement fault in the Cretaceous period. The northern shore of the Cuorendejia Lake is the Bayingourijiu Mountain, and the south is desert and more than 10 sub lakes. The Cuorendejia Lake is the largest lake in the Qumar River. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth images (2015) and the referenced maps. The dataset was archived in .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 1.66 MB in 22 data files (Compressed to 607 KB in two files).
