Abstract:

The Brothers Islands are part of the Little Andaman Group of India. It belongs to the South An-daman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Brothers Islands are separated from the Sisters Islands only 17.5 km at its northeast. There are only two islands in the Brothers Islands, which are North Brother Island and South Brother Island, with only 7-km distance between the two islands. Its geo-location is 10°55′39″N-10°59′33″N, 92°36′21″E-92°40′10″E. The areas of the South Brother Island and the North Brother Island are 1.09 km² and 1.04 km², respectively and coastlines are 4.31 and 3.73 km, respectively. The total area of the Brothers Islands is 2.13 km² and the coastline is 8.04 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 52.9 KB (Compressed to 22.4 KB in two files).
