Abstract:
The Twin Islands is part of the Labyrinth Islands, southern of Great Andaman Archipelago of India. It is located only 2.6 km to Rutland Island at its east. It belongs to the South Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Its geo-location is 11°23′25″N-11°23′51″N, 92°32′43″E-92°33′49″E. There are two islands in the Twin Islands, they are East Twin Island and West Twin Island. The areas of the East Twin Island and the West Twin Island are 0.41 and 0.20 km², respectively, and the coastlines are 1.77 and 2.73 km, respectively. The total area of the Twin Islands is 0.60 km² and the coastline is 4.50 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 40.5 KB (Compressed to 16.9 KB in two files).
