Abstract:
The Northern Nicobar Group is the northernmost of the Nicobar Islands located in Bay of Bengal, Indian. It belongs to the Nicobar district of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Its geo-location is 8°49′10″N-9°15′24″N, 92°43′7″E-92°51′47″E. There are two islands in the Northern Nicobar group, Car Nicobar Island and Batti malv Island. The Car Nicobar Island is bigger than the Batti malv Island, with the area of 125.73 km². The total area of the Islands is 127.29 km², and the coastline is 56.86 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 192 KB (Compressed to 77.1 KB in two files).
