Abstract:
The Stewart Sound Group is located in southeast of the North Andaman Island, the Bay of Bengal, and it belongs to the North and Middle Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Its geo-location is 12°53′51″N- 13°4′1″N, 92°51′30″E-93°0′25″E. The main islands in the Stewart Sound Group are Sound Island, Stewart Island, Curlew Island, Aves Island, and Karlo Island. Among them, the biggest one is the Sound Island, with the area of 13.14 km². The total area of the Islands is 25.06 km², and the coastline is 79.59 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 319 KB (Compressed to 130 KB in two files).
