Abstract:

The Middle Moscos Islands is located in the Andaman Sea, middle of the Moscos Islands (between the North Moscos Islands and the South Moscos Islands). There is only 23 km wide between the Island and the Tanintharyi Coast at its east. The Middle Moscos Islands belongs to the Dawei District of the Tanintharyi Region of Myanmar. Its geo-location is 14°6′30″N-14°12′24″N, 97°46′39″E-97°52′15″E. It is consisted of two big islands and seven small islets. The big islands are Maungmagan Island and North Island, and another small island located in the northernmost of the Middle Moscos Islands is Sabyat Island. The total area of the Middle Moscos Islands is 18.38 km², and the coastline is 42.50 km. All islands are governed by the Burma Forest Department as the Moscos Islands Wildlife Sanctuary. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and shp data formats with the data size of MB (Compressed to MB in two files).
