Abstract:
One of China's six ancient capital cities, Chengdu is a national historic and cultural city and the birthplace of ancient Shu civilization. It has a history of more than 4,500 years, and is a sub-provincial city and the megalopolises of Sichuan Province. Chengdu is located in the west Sichuan Basin, geolocated between 30°05'47''N-31°26'42''N; 102°59'24''E-104°53'31"E. The total area of the city is 12,110.05km². The Dataset on the Chengdu City consists of the spatial data of administrative division in county level, population (2010) and economic (GDP, 2015) in counties and districts, the spatial data of the scenic spots (2014), the meteorological data (mean value of the highest temperature and the lowest temperature and the monthly average precipitation), the altitudes and terrain slope classification data and the artificial land surface data for 2000, 2010 and 2015. The dataset is archived in .xls, .kmz and .shp formats with the data size of 14.4 MB (Compressed to 373 KB in 6 files).
